New VIP function — Beta Test of Roast Degree Analyzer

Sandbox Smart will launch a new VIP function— Roast Degree Analyzer. This function that you can easily and quickly measure the roast degree of coffee through our APP. You don’t need to buy a professional Roast Degree Analyzer. Although, it can only distinguish between “light, medium, and dark”. Update our APP and you can immediately measure the roasted beans, now! 

 

【Beta Test Information】 

This time, the function of the Roast Degree Analyzer will be opened for beta test. Since this function is still being calibrated, all users are welcome to try it. You can give us feedback through the link below if you have any comments.

【Official Launch Information】 

It’s estimated on 2023/10/1 at 12:00 am (GMT+8), the function of the Android version of Roast Degree Analyzer will be the function of VIP, thank you. 

 

The following is the Roast Degree Analyzer introduction of the use and precautions.

 

Use Steps: 

1. Please prepare a piece of white A4 paper and the coffee beans to be measured.

 

2. Open the home page of the APP and click the “Analyzer” button to enter the function page.

 

3. Align the phone horizontally with the white A4 paper, keep the distance between the phone and the A4 paper about 15 cm, and click “Calibration”.

※Noted: Failure to calibrate according to the above method may lead to calibration errors and inaccurate roast degree detection.

 

4. Put the coffee beans on the A4 paper, the detection area of the Analyzer must be filled with coffee beans, and click “Detection”.

※Noted: The distance between the mobile and the coffee beans must be kept about 15 cm, the number of coffee beans placed must be sufficient, and the white A4 paper at the bottom should not be exposed to avoid detection correctness.

 

5. After the detection loading is completed, the result will be displayed.

 

Precautions:

1. Be sure to measure in an indoor environment with a stable light source. 

2. When calibrating and detecting, the recommended height of the mobile must be 15 cm from the detecting surface, and the detection effect will be the best. 

3. When calibrating and detecting, please do not shake the phone. Shaking the phone will lead to inaccurate detection results. 

4. When detecting oily coffee, please check the option of “Oily coffee” first, which can improve the detection accuracy of dark roast. 

5. If you do not have A4 paper, you can find white paper of the same size as A4 paper, but be careful not to use glossy paper.

6. The phone’s battery is too low to turn on the flash, please use it when the battery is sufficient
